Ramble has three plans: Open, Craft, and Craft Team. Billing is per workspace, so every workspace carries its own plan and the workspace owner manages it. One account can own a free workspace on Open and belong to paid ones at the same time.
The three plans
Open is free. Craft and Craft Team are paid. The table compares what each one includes; for current pricing, see the pricing page.
| Open | Craft | Craft Team | |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI models | Standard set | All, including premium | All, including premium |
| Monthly AI budget | Included | Larger | Largest |
| AI credits | Not available | Available | Available |
| Drafts per workspace | 500 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Members per workspace | 3 | 3 | 25 |
You can own one Open workspace at no cost. To own more workspaces, or to make one larger, those workspaces are on a paid plan. The step from Open to Craft is mostly about AI: premium models, a larger monthly budget, the ability to add AI credits, and unlimited drafts. The step from Craft to Craft Team is about team size, raising the member limit to 25.
The monthly AI budget and AI credits power the assistant and have their own mechanics, including how usage is measured and what happens when a budget runs out. See Models & AI usage.
Limits on every plan
A single draft holds about 1.5 MB of text, which is room for a long markdown document. As a draft nears the limit, Ramble warns you. At the limit, the draft becomes read-only for everyone except its author. Well past the limit, only the author can open it, until someone trims it back down.
A few other limits apply on every plan. You can be a member of up to 20 workspaces, create up to 3 new workspaces per day, and change a workspace’s URL up to 5 times per 30 days.
Manage your plan
The owner manages the plan in workspace settings under Plan. From there you can:
- Upgrade, which takes effect immediately.
- Schedule a downgrade or cancel, which takes effect at the end of the current billing period. After that the workspace returns to Open.
- Resume a renewal you had cancelled, which keeps the current plan running.
Payment details and invoices live in the billing portal, reached from the same place. Only the owner changes the plan or billing; other members see the current plan without these controls.
Changing plans never deletes your content. If a workspace ends up over a lower plan’s limit, for example with more than 3 members after a downgrade, you keep everything that is already there. You cannot add new items past the cap until the workspace is back under it.
