Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect basic account information such as your email address and name through your chosen sign-in method. This information is used to identify your account and for essential communications.

You may also provide optional profile information, such as a display name, which is visible to collaborators.

When you use the Service, we store the content you create, including documents and shared workspaces. We also store information about your participation in workspaces and associated permissions.

How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored using cloud infrastructure providers with encryption at rest. We use database storage for account information and document metadata, real-time infrastructure for collaborative editing sessions, and browser storage on your device for offline access.

Data stored in your browser remains on your device and is only transmitted during normal sync operations.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your signed-in state and to return you to the right page after sign-in. We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.

Analytics

We may collect anonymized usage data to improve the Service, such as performance metrics and general usage patterns. This data helps us identify issues and improve reliability. We do not collect or store your document content for analytics purposes.

IP Address Handling

We do not store raw IP addresses. IP addresses are cryptographically hashed before any storage, and hashed values are used only for rate limiting to prevent abuse. We cannot recover your actual IP address from the hash.

Logging

Our logs contain only technical identifiers and metadata necessary for security and debugging. We do not log email addresses, document content, or raw IP addresses.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Deleted content is recoverable for 30 days, then permanently removed. Operational logs are retained for 30 days.

Your Rights

Security

We implement security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, secure cookies for authentication, rate limiting to prevent abuse, and access control verification for all operations.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. The “Last updated” date indicates when the policy was last revised.
